the job application process and moving

Marty and I have always talked about moving to the east coast- to be closer to both of our families. His parents are in western NY state and my parents live between Bostonand Worcester, Ma. Now that we have children- that seems to be more important to both of us. We're not unhappy here- where we are in Lubbock, TX- we have a pretty nice life here- but I am excited about a change. I am excited about moving. I am excited about doing something different.

Marty applied for the job in Pittsburgh and was in the top five. He was phone interviewed and we were giddy with the possibility of going to Pittsburgh. If you can believe it- no one has contacted us yet- we assume he wasn't picked-becasue the interview was two weeks agao now. That is just the way it is with the Feds- we'll never hear from them unless he is picked.

He recently applied (this week) for a transfer to the Willmington, OH office and we have to wait until the end of February to see if he has a shot at it. I mean- he has a shot- it's just waiting to see if he's picked. The waiting is the hardest part.

I haven't said anything to my boss about Marty applying for new positions- I just want to wait and see. If we get an offer- then I can tell Dr. T and go from there. If the Willmington thing does not pan out- I need to deiced when Iwill stop working- I really want to be a stay at home mom to my girls.
